Limitations of rootless/roothide/TrollStore builds of XXTouch

iOS 15+ system partition is read-only.

TrollStore build limitations​

  • alerthelper module does not work properly
  • dialog and webview are less smooth than on full jailbreak
  • Soft keyboard cannot pop up inside webview floating windows
  • Cannot use os.execute

TrollStore build advantages​

  • Does not rely on a jailbreak environment
  • Can add a widget to the Home Screen to trigger auto-start on boot

Bootstrap jailbreak environment limitations​

  • XXTouch daemon does not auto-start with Bootstrap
  • alerthelper module does not work properly
  • dialog and webview are less smooth than on full jailbreak
  • Soft keyboard cannot pop up inside webview floating windows
