Endless "sync failed" prompts after install
Try the following according to your environment.
If installed via Sileo
Try these one by one:
Attempt 1
Tap Cancel, then choose a script.
Attempt 2
Reinstall (no need to uninstall first) the latest XXTouch from Sileo and ensure there are no errors. Reboot the device (you may need to re-activate the jailbreak).
Attempt 3
- Install OpenSSH via Sileo and ensure no errors (skip if already installed).
- In Sileo, choose to uninstall Substitute or ElleKit and take a screenshot of the uninstall list. Do NOT confirm yet; read carefully:
- This will also uninstall many tweaks including XXTouch. In theory it’s safe, but we cannot assume responsibility; if concerned, stop and consult a trusted professional.
- After understanding, decide whether to confirm uninstall.
- Install XXTouch from the source (you may need to reboot and re-activate jailbreak) and ensure no errors.
- Reboot again (may need to re-activate jailbreak).
- If needed, reinstall items removed in step 2 according to your screenshot.
Attempt 4
Delete /var/mobile/Media/1ferver/caches/daemon_cache.db
and reboot (may need to re-activate jailbreak).
If installed via Cydia
Try these one by one:
Attempt 1
Tap Cancel, then choose a script.
Attempt 2
Reinstall (no need to uninstall first) the latest XXTouch from Cydia and ensure there are no red errors (see faq-0013). Reboot (may need to re-activate jailbreak).
Attempt 3
Install OpenSSH via Cydia and ensure no red errors (skip if already installed). Refresh sources and update base dependencies with no red errors.
- On iOS
< 11
: reinstall (no need to uninstall) Cydia Substrate, UIKit Tools, and XXTouch with no red errors. - On iOS
≥ 11
: reinstall (no need to uninstall) Tweak Injector, Substitute, Substrate Compatibility Layer, UIKit Tools, and XXTouch with no red errors. Then reboot (may need to re-activate jailbreak).
Attempt 4
- In Cydia, choose to uninstall Cydia Substrate (on iOS
≥ 11
, uninstall Substitute) and screenshot the uninstall list. Do NOT confirm yet; read carefully:- This will also uninstall many tweaks including XXTouch. In theory it’s safe, but we cannot assume responsibility; if concerned, stop and consult a professional.
- After understanding, decide whether to confirm uninstall.
- Install XXTouch from the source (you may need to reboot and re-activate jailbreak) and ensure no red errors.
- Reboot again (may need to re-activate jailbreak).
- If needed, reinstall items removed in step 1 according to your screenshot.
Attempt 5
Delete /var/mobile/Media/1ferver/caches/daemon_cache.db
and reboot (may need to re-activate jailbreak).
