Install/update fails in Cydia (red/yellow text)

Fix red errors caused by insufficient system partition space​

If the red text contains any of the following: No space left on device cannot copy extracted data for failed in buffer_write(fd) (8, ret=-1) Your system partition may be out of space. Try uninstalling unnecessary tweaks or removing useless resources. Do NOT delete /.cydia_no_stash to free space, or you may brick the device.

Possible fix for iOS 9.2 ~ 10.2.1 (not 9.3.5)​

  1. Connect to power and keep it charged. Remove all sources except Cydia/Telesphoreo and XXTouch (this will not cause any data loss).
    • Tap “Sources” → top-right “Edit” → tap the red minus icon in front of a source
  2. Add the source apt.abcydia.com (Leifeng repo)
  3. In Cydia choose to uninstall Cydia Substrate and take a screenshot of the uninstall list. Do NOT confirm yet. Read the next lines carefully:
    • This will also uninstall many tweaks including XXTouch. In theory this is safe, but we cannot assume responsibility. If you have concerns, stop here and consult a trusted professional.
    • After understanding the above, decide whether to confirm uninstall.
  4. Search and install the tweak "Stashing 容量不足修正"
  5. Space should now be sufficient. If needed, reinstall what was removed in step 3.

Possible fix for iOS 9.3.5 jailbroken via Phœnix​

  1. Connect to power and keep it charged. Remove all sources except Cydia/Telesphoreo and XXTouch (this will not cause any data loss).
    • Tap "Sources" → top-right "Edit" → tap the red minus icon in front of a source
  2. Add cydia.angelxwind.net (Karen/angelXwind) and apt.abcydia.com (Leifeng)
  3. In Cydia choose to uninstall Cydia Substrate and take a screenshot of the uninstall list. Do NOT confirm yet. Read carefully:
    • This will also uninstall many tweaks including XXTouch. In theory this is safe, but we cannot assume responsibility. If you have concerns, stop here and consult a professional.
    • After understanding the above, decide whether to confirm uninstall.
  4. Install “Stashing 容量不足修正” and “Stashing Fix for Phœnix (9.3.5)”
  5. Reboot as prompted
  6. Re-activate jailbreak, space should be sufficient. Reinstall what was removed in step 3 if needed.

Remove sources that may cause red/yellow errors​

Remove all sources except Cydia/Telesphoreo and XXTouch (this will not cause any data loss):

  • Including BigBoss, ModMyi, ZodTTD, and Ultrasn0w.
  • Tap "Sources" → top-right "Edit" → tap the red minus icon in front of a source
